Adelphians Spread Love on Valentine’s Day!
BAY RIDGE – Adelphi Academy of Brooklyn students, faculty and staff spread love during a very special Red, Pink & White Dress Down Day held on Valentine’s Day, Thursday, February 14th, 2019! Members of Adelphi’s Student Advisory Board spent part of the day delivering hundreds of Valentine’s Candy Grams to students and staff that had been purchased by their friends and colleagues. The special deliveries included delicious candies and adorable plush emojis with a Valentine’s Day theme.
Adelphians enjoyed showing their love for their school and each other by dressing in their favorite red, pink and white outfits. They posed for photos and engaged in group learning activities throughout the day. When the Candy Gram deliveries began, students and staff were all smiles. It was clear that love was in the air at Adelphi!
Head of School Ms. Iphigenia Romanos said, “There is no better time for Adelphians to show love for each other and their school than on Valentine’s Day! This Red, Pink & White Dress Down Day allowed students and staff to dress comfortably while furthering a message of love and respect that permeates Adelphi’s daily approach to educating the total child. It was heartwarming to see so many children and adults share Candy Grams with each other to make a very special day even more special.”
