Adelphians Learn in Comfort on Pajama Day!
BAY RIDGE – They might have looked like they just rolled out of bed and headed to class, but Adelphi Academy of Brooklyn students and staff actually came ready to learn in comfort! The entire school community dressed in their coziest pajamas on Thursday, January 28th, 2021 to show their school spirit for Adelphi’s Annual Pajama Day!
Students of all ages were encouraged to come to school dressed in their most comfortable and colorful sleepwear — from robes to slippers to matching pajama sets. Many of the young (and young at heart) Adelphians even carried their favorite stuffed animals to class! Regular classes were held throughout the day, but there was plenty of time for fun as well. Students enjoyed posing for photos in front of a giant backdrop in the Panther Café adorned with sleep-related images and artwork.
Head of School Ms. Iphigenia Romanos said the response from students and staff was extremely positive.
“There were so many smiles on Pajama Day!” Ms. Romanos said. “At Adelphi, we strive to create a comfortable and enjoyable learning environment for our students and staff at all times, and Pajama Day serves as the perfect opportunity to literally learn in comfort! Adelphi’s special themed Spirit Day events help to create a strong sense of unity, spirit and school pride that we all feel as Adelphians.”
