Panther Pride Put on Display
for Adelphi’s Brown & Gold Day!
BAY RIDGE – Students and staff at Adelphi Academy of Brooklyn got to show their true colors on Thursday, March 11th, 2021 as they came to school dressed in brown and gold (the Academy’s official colors) to show Adelphi pride and unity on Brown & Gold Day!
Students of all ages sported official Adelphi gear for the day — bright gold sweatshirts, brown sweatpants, hoodies, sweaters and other related items. Others wore plain clothing in brown and gold with matching accessories. Brown & Gold Day was the latest in a series of special annual themed dress-down days that Adelphi has established and refers to as Spirit Days.
Students enjoyed posing in front of a giant Adelphi banner in the Panther Café, and many pointed to various elements of the Adelphi crest that held special meaning to them as Adelphians.
Adelphi Head of School Ms. Iphigenia Romanos said she was pleased to see so many students put their Panther pride on display.
“Having the entire school participate in an event like this makes a powerful statement about the sense of community that exists at Adelphi Academy of Brooklyn,” Ms. Romanos said. “So many of our students and staff members dressed in their favorite Adelphi gear or other brown-and-gold clothing, demonstrating their Panther pride and excitement to be a part of the Adelphi family.”
