Adelphians Show Disney Side on Disney Day!
BAY RIDGE — Show your Disney side! Adelphi Academy of Brooklyn students, faculty and staff came to school dressed like their favorite Disney characters on Thursday, October 27th, 2022 as part of Adelphi’s annual Disney Day celebration.
From classic Disney-themed apparel to elaborate costumes, Adelphians enjoyed posing for photos and showing their appreciation for the many iconic characters developed by the great Walt Disney. The halls were filled with princesses and superheroes, and there were Mickey and Minnie Mouse ears galore!
Giant cutouts of characters like Mickey and Minnie, Donald Duck, Goofy, Chef Linguini and Remy adorned the walls of the Panther Café to create a fairytale-like atmosphere. There were also life-sized cutouts of Buzz Lightyear and Woody from “Toy Story” for students and staff to enjoy.
“The magic of Disney always shines through on Disney Day at Adelphi Academy of Brooklyn,” Head of School Ms. Iphigenia Romanos said. “Our youngest Adelphians enjoy dressing as their favorite princesses, while our older students proudly wear mouse ears and colorful Marvel and Star Wars apparel. This special Spirit Day shows just how expansive and diverse the Disney universe is and how many different ways these characters have influenced our children in a positive way.”
