Adelphians Show Heroic Qualities on Superhero Day!

Upper Schooler Bella shows off her favorite comic book saying on Superhero Day!

BAY RIDGE – Bam! Thwack! Ka-Pow! Comic books came to life at Adelphi Academy of Brooklyn on Thursday, September 29th, 2022 as the entire school came together to show school spirit on Superhero Day! Students, faculty and staff came to Adelphi Academy of Brooklyn dressed as their favorite superheroes for the first of Adelphi’s monthly Spirit Day events.

Adelphians of all ages dressed as The Avengers, Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman and other popular comic book characters. Typical comic book sayings decorated the halls of each floor and students and staff enjoyed posing for photos striking their best superhero poses in front of them.  Lower Schoolers also learned about what it takes to be a hero, from being kind and helping others to always doing their best!

Head of School Ms. Iphigenia Romanos said, “Superhero Day serves as a great way to kick off Adelphi Academy of Brooklyn’s monthly Spirit Day program. It allows students and staff to tap into their own heroic qualities — from being polite and respectful to assisting others in need at all times — which they continue to cultivate throughout the rest of the school year.”

Middle Schoolers strike superhero poses on Superhero Day!
