Adelphians Show ‘Love’ for Arts on Theater Day!
BAY RIDGE – Can you feel the love? Adelphi Academy of Brooklyn students, faculty and staff certainly did on Friday, June 17th, as so many Adelphians wore their brand-new, one-of-a-kind “Adelphi Love” shirts on Theater Day!
As part of this end-of-year tradition, Adelphians showed their support for the Academy’s Theater Arts Program by dressing in their favorite gear from past Adelphi productions like “Adelphi Pop!” and “The Adelphian Masquers’ 5 Year Anniversary Show!” as well as last year’s virtual show “Adelphi Strong!” Many opted to show their support and anticipation for that evening’s production of “Adelphi Love.” The Spirit Day event showcased school unity and pride.
The Lower Schoolers were especially proud to show off their “Adelphi Love” shirts, as they were excited to be performing several numbers with the main cast in this year’s production!
Head of School Ms. Iphigenia Romanos said she was pleased to see the arts take center stage once again during this special Spirit Day event.
“So many of our students, faculty and staff supported the upcoming show by wearing their ‘Adelphi Love’ shirts on Theater Day, which was great to see,” Ms. Romanos said. “After a difficult couple of years navigating continually changing guidelines and restrictions as pertains to health and safety, Adelphi is proud to welcome our families and supporters back inside the John Lockwood Auditorium Theatre to experience the performing arts the way they were meant to be — live and in person.”
