BAY RIDGE — When you wish upon a star, it makes no difference who you are at Adelphi Academy of Brooklyn — all Adelphians are invited to show their Disney side on Disney Day! This annual celebration of all things Disney saw students and staff come to school dressed like their favorite Disney characters on Thursday, October 21st, 2021.

Sporting classic Disney-themed apparel and elaborate costumes, Adelphians were excited to pose for photos and show their appreciation for the many iconic characters developed by the great Walt Disney. Princesses, superheroes and Mickey and Minnie Mouse ears filled the halls!

Giant cutouts of characters like Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, Chef Linguini and Remy adorned the walls of the Panther Café, and original Disney-themed artwork, writing and decorations filled the halls to create a fairytale-like atmosphere. There were also life-sized cutouts of Buzz Lightyear and Woody from “Toy Story” for students and staff to enjoy.

“Disney Day is always a magical event at Adelphi Academy of Brooklyn,” Head of School Ms. Iphigenia Romanos said. “From our littlest Adelphians dressed as their favorite princesses to our older students sporting mouse ears and colorful Marvel and Star Wars apparel, this special Spirit Day shows just how expansive and diverse the Disney universe is and how many different ways these characters have influenced our children in a positive way.”
